A standard strap is used to tie down timber wall plates to block. Straps are manufactured to provide vertical restraint against wind pressure and uplift forces. The straps are manufactured from pre-Galvanised steel strips to BS EN 10327 : 2004, DX51D + Z275 or stainless steel to BS EN 10088-1 : 1995 : 1.4301.
Hole diameters are 4mm and they are holed at 12.5mm grouped in threes, diagonally across the width of the strap.
