The Role
McMahons are now seeking applications for Sales and Operations Trainee Positions at its Portarlington Branch. This role would be ideally suited to ambitious recent third level graduates or mature school leavers.
This “hands-on” role will involve getting experience in all aspects of a typical busy builders merchanting branch including dealing with customers; order taking; counter sales; issuing of invoices/relevant sales documentation; arranging deliveries; stock management including picking orders, stock taking, cycle counting and off-loading and booking-in incoming stock The successful candidate will also get experience using modern IT and ERP systems and will receive training from experienced local branch personnel as well as group management and personnel.

McMahons are now seeking applications for the position of Yard/Warehouse Operative for their branch located in Longford. The Longford branch is a thriving builders providers branch with significant capacity to grow. The responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the following:
Off loading products and building materials being delivered to the site.
Picking customer orders and assisting with the loading of customer vehicles.
Loading trucks with products in advance of delivery to the customer.
Assisting to maintain the highest standards of housekeeping in the warehouse, yard and shop.
Working closely with all branch staff including transport and internal sales to ensure that the customers are serviced in an efficient and timely manner.
Assisting with the stock management at the branch including stock taking and cycle counting.
Dealing with other requests to support the operation of a busy branch as and when required.
Following company policies and procedures from an operational and health and safety perspective.
To Be Considered For This Role, You Will Have The Following:
Knowledge and experience of building materials would be advantageous.
Experience in a yard / warehouse environment and driving forklifts.
A full clean driving license is required.
