Berona Xtra Fibre Cement Slate 600mm x 300mm - Blue/Black

Berona Xtra is an attractive, smooth, flat, square-edged slate that is manufactured to the highest European standards. Berona Xtra slates are durable and are an economical alternative to natural roofing materials. They are lightweight, pre-holed and easy to handle and install.

Berona Xxtra slates are produced in accordance with ISO-9001 (quality management system), ISO-14001 (environmental management system) and carry the environmental protection declaration EPD-CEM-2012211.

Berona Xtra slates are manufactured using portland cement together with a non-asbestos formulation of superior blended synthetic and cellulose fibres. The slates are pigmented during production and are fully compressed. Berona Xtra slates conform to class B in strength, the highest classification for fibre cement slates which are manufactured in accordance with European norm EN429 - the European standard for the manufacture of fibre cement slate. They are finished with a high-quality semi-matt acrylic coating to the top face and edges, with a tinted high-performance binder applied to the back face.

When fixed in accordance with the latest versions of SR 82 Irish code of practice for slating and tiling and BS5534.

• Wood: Fix each cembrit slate with two 2.65 mm x 30 mm long copper nails and secure the tail of the slate with a copper disc rivet of suitable quality correctly bent downslope through 90°
